Convince.....

At first I did not realize how much of an impact hip hop has had on the media, on children, and all over. After watching both clips, I now stand on the position that hip hop might not the leading problem, but it definitely is one of them. Of both of the clips, at first, the one with 50 cent caught me because not only is he a familiar face, but he is liked and made a good speech. He gave us someone and something else to blame besides hip hop so it was more believable; he was humorous and made me laugh, convincing me more and getting me on his side. He's appealing more to our emotions and also to our ethical beliefs and was not attacking. The first clip with Oprah at first to be honest, was not as convincing because it was so serious and almost all logical and ethical so it did not catch me eye. After watching it over again, I actually listened to what they were saying and the poets made a lot of sense, especially the women who were put in that situation. After hearing what they're called and knowing what they go through, I now realize it and see with when I go out. I hear what men call women and I understand their, pain, I too have been in that situation. I still do not completely blame it on hip hop because there's other reasons, like movies, the media, family, etc. Both clips had an effect, but chose different appeals in convincing me.
